The Mid-Year Rewrite

Somehow, it’s June.

Maybe you’re wondering where the last five months went. Maybe the goals you set in January feel like they belonged to another version of you—one who had more energy, more certainty, or just fewer curveballs to dodge. Maybe you feel behind. Or stuck. Or tired.

Let me tell you something you might need to hear: You don’t have to finish the year the way you started it. You’re allowed to begin again.
We live in a culture obsessed with productivity, with sticking to the plan, with pushing through. The first of the year is painted as the time to figure it all out, to define what you’ll do and who you’ll be—and then to stay that course no matter what.
But life isn’t linear. And healing isn’t predictable. Neither is growth. We shift. We adapt. We grieve. We outgrow. Sometimes, the goals we set in January become too small for us by June. Sometimes, they were never really ours to begin with.
That’s why at The Rewrite Workshops, we think of this season as something different—not a checkpoint, but a chapter break. A chance to turn the page.
We call it the Mid-Year Rewrite. The Mid-Year Rewrite is not about hustling harder. It’s about revisiting what matters—and reimagining where you’re going.
So here’s your invitation:
Take a breath. Set down the pressure. And write your way into the next version of your life.
Here are two writing prompts we love for this moment:
Write a letter to yourself from six months ago.
What have you survived, learned, or softened into? What would surprise that version of you?
Now, write a letter to yourself six months from now.
What do you hope she knows? What kind of story is she living? What does she need to believe about herself to get there?
You don’t need a dramatic overhaul. You just need a pen, some honesty, and the willingness to begin again.

Join us for our next workshop—a space to reflect, reconnect with yourself, and write your next chapter with intention and heart.
We gather in small, supportive circles (in person and online) to explore big questions, name our truths, and remind each other that we are never stuck—we’re just mid-story.
💬 Or reply to this blog and tell us: What chapter are you ready to close?
With you in the rewrite,
